This cross-curricular lesson has students travel the planets in our solar system and find their scaled radius, diameter, and area. Keep learners engaged with a gamified activity where they can take ownership of their learning.
 
Learners will start with astronaut preparation, where they will recall the concepts of radius and diameter by filling the spaceship's fuel gauge. From there, they'll read the Astronaut Handbook to discover how to find area of a circle.
 
After learning the skills they need, they'll travel to all 8 planets to fill in the blanks and save their teacher from aliens.
